"A rather scarce Rowland Ward publication, the first issue was published with a map and map pocket, while the second issue apparently lacked both.
This work details the author's 1910-11 expedition on which he bagged gazelle, leopard and hippopotamus near the Atbara River. Continuing on to the Setit, he shot lion, buffalo, kudu and other plains game, some from a machan near a watering hole. Cotton then trekked to the Rahad and Dinder Rivers where he collected lion, buffalo, hippopotamus and a variety of plains game. The nine month safari cost Cotton £750!" (Czech). Czech, Africa, p. 67
