In this wide ranging description of his naval travels and adventures, Kennedy reports on his blackbuck hunting experiences near Madras, and tiger and sambur shooting in the Northwest Provinces. The author wrote several popular books of his sporting experiences while on duty in various ports of call [Czech, Asian Big Game, p. 116]. He also relates episodes of duck shooting near Karachi, stalking reindeer and salmon fishing in Norway, trout fishing in Sweden, and stalking deer in Scotland. Original dark blue cloth with beveled edges, gilt and colored nautical decoration on upper board, bright gilt titles. Original endpapers, inner hinges just starting. A  bright copy.
