Green cloth board covers with gilt lettering on the spine with wear to the top and bottom of the spine and front and back cover corners. Discolouration and tanning to the front and back end-papers. A stamp on the title page "The property of Boots booklovers Library".

This edition with 311 pages and 52 black and white photographs and illustrations.

Frederick Selous (1851 - 1917) was a professional hunter better known for his exploits in South East Africa. He was prominent in a select group of big game hunters and was a friend of Theodore Roosevelt and Cecil Rhodes. This book chronicles his hunting exploits in Asia Minor and Western America.
