Caswell provides chapters on bullet choice, rifles, sights, elevation, windage and all

manner of items interesting to hunters and target shooters. Of African interest are several

vignettes in which he describes his hunting lion, rhino, and eland in British East Africa in

1910, highlighted by a battery of plates depicting shot location on African big game. He also includes big game shooting in North America. Original blue cloth with bright gilt spine titles. Original endpapers, inner hinges just starting. Scattered foxing to contents. Well illustrated with photo plates and text illustrations. In the scarce dust jacket with a small corner missing from the top front panel, and general light chipping.
