In this extensive work combining the author's sporting adventures in India, Ceylon, and Britain, he includes a long chapter on tiger shooting with details a hunt near Hyderabad and includes chapter on measuring the tiger. While in the Sewalik Hills of the Dehra Doon, he hunted chital, shot small game near Delhi and relates numerous pig sticking episodes. He also includes shooting waterfowl and game birds in England, and trout angling. 2 volumes in the original dark olive cloth with bright gilt spine titles and bright gilt pigsticking vignettes to the top covers. Corners bumped. Original dark burgundy endpapers. Illustrated with full page plates and numerous text drawings. A tight, clean, and attractive set.
