This selection of photographs has been assembled, in the main, from the photographic collections of The War Museum of the Boer Republics in Bloemfontein.

Emily Hobhouse was a British Human Rights activist remembered for working to change the conditions inside the concentration camps which incarcerated Boer women and children during the Boer War (1899-1902).
