Signed and inscribed by the Author, dedicated to the wife of Major General Poole.

Green cloth boards, no dustjacket, minor discolouration of pages. Spine is sun  bleached and scuffed at the top and bottom.

It's the progress of the 6th Division from south to north of the Italian peninsula against the German Gustave, The book describes many battles including the northern Apennines, breaching of the Gothic line and the battles in the mountain north of Bologna. The account is by W L Fielding serving as the Intelligence Officer with the division's motorized Infantry.
