Oblong 4to (253 x 315 mm); original green cloth blocked in gilt and white; pp. (vi) + 260 + xxi + (iii); photographs throughout. Cloth slightly rubbed, and worn at extremities; binding slack and hinges starting; earlier owner\'s name in pencil on front free endpaper; trace of foxing; some light fingering; very occasional short edge tear, without loss. (Hackett, pp. 28, 143; SABIB I, p. 72) \"An extended edition (c. 1902) contains over five hundred photographs with the Summary of the War brought down to the termination of hostilities.
