Tjader’s 1909 safari into British East Africa brought him to some of the finest big game
hunting lands of the time. He crossed the Sotik River, proceeding to the Lakipia Hills, the
area near Mt. Elgon, along the Athi and Tana Rivers and the Guaso Nyiro, with hunts after lion, buffalo, rhino, and numerous antelope species. This includes a 51 page guide to the Ki-Swahili language. Original green cloth with embossed lion head on the front cover and bright gilt titles. Titles to spine a little dulled but quite legible. Corners lightly bumped. Original endpapers firm and tight. Bottom corner of p. 85 torn off with no loss of text. Well illustrated with photo plates and folding map. This copy SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR'S DAUGHTER on the free front endpaper.
