The Story of South Africa's 32 Battalion 1975-1993.Quarto (180mm x 250mm) hardcover book in good+ condition. Bound in the original slate-gray cloth and with coloured pictorial dust-wrapper; eleven preliminary pages plus 360 pages of text, including index; with 72 colour and black and white illustrations; 4 maps. Some shelf wear on the bottom of the front cover.

The Buffalo Soldiers is the story of South Africa's 32-Battalion, forged in battle from black guerilla irregulars and white South African officers and NCO's during the South African military intervention in Angola in 1975, it was destined to become the most elite infantry unit in the South African Army's order of battle. Colonel Breytenbach, the founder and first commander of the unit, is an internationally recognised and well respected soldier.
