Sir Robert Baden-Powell's narrative of his experiences during the Ashanti War in West Africa, 1896-96. He recounts various military exploits, action at Kumassi, scouting, and, finally, the submission of King Prempeh. This is a well illustrated account with numerous full page plates. The bright gilt pictorial binding shows very light rubbing to the edges. The endpapers are foxed but not so the contents which remain clean and tight. A very nice copy.
