Unclipped laminated colour dustjackets, protected with clear film, full-bound in blue cloth-boards with gilt lettering and design to the spines and upper boards, blue-and-white head- and tail-bands, plain endpapers.
- Vol I. 1854-1935. Colour frontispiece of the west wing of the Regimental Chapel of St Michael and St George, on art-paper, xx + 368 pp of text, bibliography, illustrated with maps and inserted b/w plates on art-paper but paginated with the text, and index.
- Vol II. 1935-1960. Colour frontispiece of H M Queen Elizabeth II, Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Durban Light Infantry, 1947-1961, plus 2 other colour plates, on art-paper, xxii + 490 pp of text illustrated with maps and inserted b/w plates on art-paper but paginated with the text, and bibliography, index and list of donors + 3-panel fold-out panorama photograph (compiled from 5 original photographs) from Monte Stanco to beyond Monte Sole.
CONDITION. The edges of the dustjackets have been neatly reinforced with non-reflective tape, but two small unclosed top-edge chips remain in Vol 1. The boards of both volumes are very lightly shelf-rubbed. The endpapers of Vol 1 are sunned. The set is otherwise near-fine, including the colour and other plates and the panorama - complete, unmarked and otherwise undiscoloured.
