(pp. xiv, 334). Large octavo (21 cm) in reddish brown publisher's cloth, gilt titles; map bound in at rear, thirty-eight photographic illustrations.
"Cornell's autobiography will carry readers into remote areas of the north-western Cape, the Kalahari and South-West Africa as Cornell knew them in his twenty years of wandering at the beginning of the century. Today Cornellsberg and Cornellskop bear his name as permanent memorials on the map of the Richtersveld" (Phillip). (A geologist I once worked with certainly looked forward to heading out on his prospecting trips into northern Quebec, but I can't imagine Stewart using the word 'glamour' to describe them.)
Titles a bit faded; a Very Good copy.
