Original brown leather and marbled paper boards with gilt titling on the spine. Light brown end papers. 10 prelims, portrait frontis, followed by a facsimile of the original edition, 4 prelims, 133 pages, 35 subjects on 30 tipped in colour plates and 11 black and white illustrations after the original wood engravings.
