John C, Totten identified as printer on title page. Binding loosening, covers heavily worn, some loss to spine ends. Some pages darkened/ stained. Ownership signature or "Langdon, Marvin Northampton" in florid script written across the long side of the verso rear fly.

A compelling association copy: owned by Dr. Langdon Ithiel Marvin (1805 - 1869), who was a member of the New York Assembly in 1840, and served as a surgeon in the 87th Regiment NY Volunteers during the Civil War.
