How it works

Register

The two-colour varnished dustjacket is complete and not price-clipped (R8/three pounds 10s), but is rubbed and chipped. The dark blue cloth-boards, gilt to the spine, are almost as-new; the binding is tight; and the plain endpapers have only a few pencil marks at the front. The contents - frontispiece + xxiii + 293 pp of text with music notations + 73 captioned plates on art paper - are unmarked, bright and undiscoloured.

This remains a standard work on the subject and, if it were not for the rubbed dustjacket, this copy would be rated Fine.
