Sir Samuel Baker\'s detailed 12 month investigation into the Abyssinian sources of the Nile, during which his wife accompanied him throughout. A classic of African exploration. 412 pp with engraved plates and 2 folding maps. Beautifully bound in full calf, prize binding with gilt decoration on covers and spine; presentation inscription in prelims. Generally very good, tight condition, some foxing in prelims, otherwise clean.
