This is a fine copy of the first edition, with the author's signature in blue on the fly-leaf. The Path to Power was preceded by Margaret Thatcher's first book, The Downing Street Years.
Photographic dustjacket with type to both flaps (unclipped: 25 pounds), black cloth/paper-boards, gilt to the spine, blue-and-white spine-band, plain blue endpapers, xiv + 615 pp of text, appendixes and index + 64 pp of inserted b/w photographs on art paper.
CONDITION. The book is better than fine throughout, with no ownership or other marks. Light page fingering indicates light and careful reading.
- Note on the signature. Much has been written about the signatures in Thatcher's two autobiographies. Where they include dedications, they are definitely original. Some others - but we hope not ours - may apparently be ink-roller facsimiles. Even with a magnifying glass, we are none the wiser.
