In 1894,Schreiner married a politically active farmer,Samuel Cronwright. and they settled on his farm. They were of the same mind on the “Native Question” and on Rhodes, which can best be described as not positive. One result of their agitation was a pamphlet,The Political Situation in the Cape Colony in 1895 which became THE POLITICAL SITUATION published by T.Fisher Unwin in London the following year. This was probably facilitated by the British Parliamentary Liberal Party who had been seeking social change in South Africa.
