This is a very good unmarked copy.
The illustrated colour dustjacket (from a photograph of a painting by the author) is chipped, especially at the top edge, where there is also a small loss of material. The green Skivertex-boards, gilt to the spine, are in near-fine condition, as are the binding and the unmarked plain endpapers, lightly sunned towards the outer edges, the 323 pp of text (illustrated in colour and b/w), appendixes and index. There are a number of blank pages.
