Messages from famous international personalities of the day on page 5 wishing this newly launched entertainment magazine all success, which, sadly, failed after only two issues. This magazine was also an advertisement for the "New Group" and features illustrations by Frieda Lock, Russel Harvey, Gregoire Boonzaier (founder of the New Group), and Lippy Lipshitz.
There is an early article on the New Group written by Charles Eglington on pages 36 & 72.
Full page charcoal drawing of "The Spirit of Art" by Russel Harvey on page 15, a full page woodcut of "The Spirit of Theatre" by Frieda Lock on page 16, and a full page lino-cut of "The Spirit of Dance" by Lippy Lipshitz on page 65.
Period adverts, notably Weet Bix breakfast cereal - a South African standard. Interesting advertisement for violin and instrument repairs by violin maker J. J. van de Geest in Johannesburg, whose instruments today are quite collectible.
Contains everything one needs to know about the South African entertainment scene of the Thirties and features many portraits of theatre personalities of the day.

Included is a circa 1910's theatre programme of the Theatre Royal, Durban, for a presentation of Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. Contains a short list of the management team, prices of admission, list of cast members, period adverts and theatre fire warning.
