Tan-printed cream endpapers advertising Hutchinson books published at the same time as Schreiner's novel. Half-title blurb from Lessing's introduction. Title-page illustrated with a duotone portrait of Olive Schreiner and her facsimile signature. xxxiv pp of introduction, preface, glossary and contents. 301 pp of illustrated text, notes and acknowledgments - all on medium-weight matt-art paper.
CONDITION. Complete, unmarked, undiscoloured and fine throughout, though with the lightest edge-rubbing of the lower cover board.
