An exploration of the Trafalgar Square, London, building, designed by Sir Herbert Baker, its contents including South African furniture and art, and the people who have worked there. It includes anecdotes, newspaper reports, political and social events. The book was written to mark the 50th anniversary of its opening on 22 June 1933 by King George V. Selected index, many black and white photographs, colour reproductions of murals in South Africa House. Pages [i-viii]1-227 Illustrated dust jacket in very good condition. Small, untidy price sticker on back cover of dust jacket. Black paper-covered boards with white titles on spine. Very small scuff marks on front and back lower corners. Book condition Very Good, clean and tightly bound.
