Michael Ian Clark, the first of the grandchildren was born at Viedgesville in 1931.The early part of his life was spent in Kenya but his family returned to South Africa in 1937.After school he attended Cedara before farming briefly in Southern Rhodesia before he went on his varied travels across the world.
