It is stated that, \"for some reason, which may be either arrogance or apathy, the British are very slow to state their case to the world,\" and while claiming that the British Government did its best to avoid war, it is admitted that right was not absolutely on one side, and that there were incidents in the campaign open to criticism.\' - Mendelssohn.
