 First Edition.  4to,  title-page [verso blank], pps 1-12,  [1]f (Postscript), a little browned and dust stained, but a reasonably good copy, uncut, modern 1/4 morocco, marbled bds.

Occasioned by Dr. Sherlock’s agonising over whether to take the oath of allegience to William and Mary. Thomas Brown is the unsung author of that famous verse beginning “I do not love thee Dr. Fell...”
