This is the catalogue of an exhibition held in 1991 in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Pietermaritzburg, Durban and Pretoria.
The women potters, painters and other artists opened their "Ceramic Studio" at the old Cullinan brickworks at Olifantsfontein in 1926 and this remained active, with changes in personnel, for thirty years.
The printed card wraps and the 64 pp of illustrated text on heavy art paper and in separate English and Afrikaans sections are all unmarked and in very good condition. Eight colour plates occupy the centre 4 pp of the book.
A loose typed sheet inserted by the former owner gives details of the panels of painted tiles on two exterior walls of the Burgersdorp Post Office, signed "The Ceramic Studio, W Vann Hall, 1933".
