In this ex-library copy, the dustjacket has been welded to the covers and new endpapers have been added. Despite long library use, the overall condition of the bookblock and five b/w plates is good, with the library material mainly limited to the front cover, spine, front and back endpapers.

An opportunity to acquire a good reading copy of a book, now rare, that tells the story of the Woods and the Hooles, 1820 settler families who arrived in Algoa Bay in, respectively, the "Aurora" and the "Chapman".
