The first (US) edition of this twentieth century literary classic and highspot. Finely rebound by Asprey in full leather with gilt titles and tooling on the spine which has five gilt tooled raised bands creating six compartments. Front and rear boards and inner dentelles gilt tooled. Patterned endpapers. All edges gilt. The original cloth spine laid on to a blank page bound it at the rear. Internally in fine unmarked condition. Overall a beautiful copy.
