Bellairs, London, Percy Selous with two chapters by Henry Bryden, green cloth boards with gilt lettering and palm tree, six original drawings by Charles Whymper, eight chapters including, Leopard Hunting in Bechuanaland; Lion Hunting in South Africa; Lions Again; How I shot my Rhinoceroses; Shooting Hippoptami on the Limpopo River; Desert Hunting; & others, 195 pages, 170 x 255mm, some slight wear to cloth, also slight foxing internally, condition: good to very good.

Henry Bryden represented England in 1874 (rugby) and lived and travelled in Southern Africa, with interests in sport and natural history. Bryden's two chapters are 'Giraffe Hunting', and 'After Buffalo and Zebra'. (also see lot 27)
