How it works

Register

Original dark green cloth covered boards with gilt titling on the spine and the publisher's device on the upper board. Top edge yellow. Original dust jacket. 352 pages, line drawings throughout, 149 black and white plates, 31 colour plates and a folded sheet with a map on either side loosely inserted at page 332.

CONDITION DETAILS: The dust jacket is still fairly clean and intact, making this far above the average copy. The dust jacket does, however, have some soil marks and the spine is sun faded. The text block edges have a few brown spots. The folded sheet with two maps was not bound into the book and a previous owner used sticky tape to attach the maps to the book. This tape has over time fallen out but has left tape residue marks on the edges of the pages.
