Complete 3 volume set. All three volumes have their original dust jackets. Original red cloth bindings with gilt titling on the spines and the publisher's decorative device on the upper boards. Volume 1 has xv prelims and is paginated to page number 703 and volume two continues the pagination from 704 to page number 1479 and volume three ends at page number 2235. Each volume has 8 full page colour plates, giving a total of 24. Each volume is profusely illustrated with black and white photographic images as well as line drawings, etc.
CONDITION DETAILS: An attractive set with few signs of use. The original owner kept plastic covers on this set, hence the nice condition of the dust jackets, but when they were removed some tape residue remained on the end papers. The wear on the dust jackets is minimal.
