[Unidentified British Photographer, mid-century]

[United Kingdom and the Royal Navy] Twenty photographs, mounted as if for an exhibiton. [United Kingdom: circa 1945-1955]. 20 card mounts, each with a single mounted photograph (circa 6 1/2 x 8 3/4in; 165 x 222mm. and smaller), pencil title to each image. (Some light old waterstaining to mounts, occasional discoloration to images due to incorrect 'fixing' of the photographs, adhesive tape along one edge of each mount). Unbound.

An interesting selection by a gifted photographer: the way the images are mounted suggests that they were perhaps for a camera club exhibition, or similar. The three naval subjects include two featuring Vice-Admiral Richard Bell Davies, V.C., (1886-1966), and others. The topographical/archtectural subjects include 5 images of London; 5 images of Eton & Windsor; 5 of Canterbury; and 2 of Straford-on-Avon.
