Minutes of a Conference on Urban Juvenile Native Delinquency held at Johannesburg from 10th to 12th October,1938, addresses by Superintendent of Social Welfare and Probation Services, South Africa, Chairman, Non-European and Native Affairs Committee, Johannesburg, Senator The Hon. J.D.Rheinallt Jones, papers on 'A Survey of the Situation on the Witwatersrand, 'The Rehabilitation of Bantu Home Life', 'Penal and Corrective Agencies', amongst others, text between card, ex-library, 200 x 335mm, corner missing on front card (detached), edgeware, internally very good, overall condition: good.

This appears to be the first major conference on Bantu Juvenile Delinquency in South Africa. The one Reformatory in The whole of South Africa for Bantu Males was the Diepkloof Reformatory which is covered in this report. Alan Paton was the Principal of the Diepkloof Reformatory from 1935 to 1949.
