Hardcover octavo (156x227mm) in the original dark blue paper on card covers with white titles to the front and spine, in Good+ condition; in a coloured pictorial dust wrapper in Good condition but with slight wrinkles to the top of the spine and bottom right corner of the front which have not affected the binding. Twenty-two preliminary pages plus 302 pages of text, including the index; 4 pages of publisher’s advertisements at the back. An annotated flight map on the front end-papers and a reproduction of part of an operational diary on the rear end-papers. Maps and both coloured and black and white illustrations in the text.

A history of the Mirage F1 which saw 22 years of service in the South African Air-force, and of the personnel who flew and cared for the machines. The author served in the air-force and commanded No.1 Squadron during the bush war.
