- This is a near-fine unmarked and undiscoloured copy of the first impression of the first (US) edition with the only significant defect a sales sticker (see image) on the back paste-down
The copy appears not to have been read before the seller read it: a career editor, he did not spot a single literal, hyphenation or typographical error - rare experience
The dustjacket has a small tear at the top of the spine (see image) and the upper corners are very lightly chipped; the binding is square, tight and unrubbed; the contents are clean throughout, except for two small fingering marks towards the centre of the lower edge
- Tom Clancy is not an obvious "Modern First Editions" candidate, but the quality of writing, typography and design (by H Roberts) and production sets high standards - and this is a fine copy
