A generous grouping of official  WWII era (1940's) press images covering a variety of subjects, most back-stamped with release dates and other information.  Condition is generally VG or better-- a few have corner pin holes, creases,  or other signs of use and wear. 1 is credited to L. V. Eastman.  A run pertain to the COAST GUARD.  

Includes the striking image of a  Marine covered in dirt being assisted onto a Coast Guard ship. Caption on reverse: "3394. From: Public Relations Division / U.S. Coast Guard / Washington, D.C. / Credit Line Must Read 'Official Coast Guard Photo.' BACK FROM HELL. Back to a Coast Guard-manned assault transport comes this Marine after two days and nights of Hell on the beach of Eniwetok in the Marshall Islands. His face is grimey with coral dust but the light of battle stays in his eyes." Enewetak Atoll, Marshall Islands. 1944
