A telex news printout and 6 grainy images of scenes during the battle for the liberation of Paris taken by Gaston MADRU, the heroic  French newsreel cameraman for News of the Day and Pathe News celebrated for secretly photographing Paris under Nazi rule, later killed by a German sniper while covering the April 1945 battle for Leipzig. Apparently a 12 image series in all, of which we have 1-3, 5-6. & 8-- including "Nazi Officer Dashes To His Death."

Numbered in upper left corner; pinholes at corners.  Telex is in 2 sheets, 1 folded, toned, somewhat brittle and faded, with corresponding image numbers added with pencil. Backs not stamped.
