Covers the sixty bookworks exhibited during a solo exhibition at Everard Read's CIRCA Gallery in Johannesburg in 2019. These bookworks bring sculpted and found objects into a dialogue with old books to reflect something of the wider social, cultural and historical structures of our times.

Exhibited as a solo exhibition at Glen Carlou Gallery near Stellenbosch in 2024. The exhibits pose a dialogue between sociology and art. They explore how writing in the form of published books through the ages have shaped our world, and how the ideas and values they promoted still circulate to influence our current views.

A senior Professor of Sociology, his narrative gaze on society and on art began to converge with is practice of carving and sculpting, which had been developed over many decades.'
