First edition: xii, 315 pages, 67 plates & 2 folding plates, inscription by previous owner on front free end paper, errata slips tipped-in at pages 1 & 67, original tan cloth over bevelled boards with black titling and an image of a paw print in brown on the upper cover. The cloth is slightly worn, light foxing mainly on the preliminary and end pages, a good copy.

Also of great interest are the life size hoof and paw prints, as well as illustrations of droppings. There is also an excellent chapter on rifles based on their own experiences.’
