Drawings and paintings of Africa. Executed during the Citroën Central Africa expedition. Second Audouin-Dubreuil mission. Limited Edition, no. 104 of 750 copies of a total edition of 1020. Edited under the direction of Lucien Vogel. Portfolio with 50 colour plates, preceded by a booklet of 30 pages in black silk binding decorated with painted African-style motifs. All brought together in a brown leather binding with flaps and closed with leather laces. The leather slipcase is stained, with one of the four laces cut short, but otherwise in very good condition. Booklet in very good plus condition, with original tissue guard. The colour plates are all present and in great condition. Plate 24 has a small piece missing from the head of the page, which does not affect the image. Includes a letter to the previous owner from Frank Bradlow, a leading collector and consultant on Africana.
