13th, 10th & 9th printings of The First Edition, printed in 1963, 1963 & 1962 respectively. Complete with original slip case. A wonderful set, with super front covers. The books are all in very good plus / near fine condition with minimal wear to the boards. Some fading to the colour of the top edge of the text block on The Return Of The King. The Fellowship of The Ring has the previous owner’s name to the front fly leaf but otherwise the books are clean and free from any (other) markings or inscriptions. The dust jackets are also in very good plus / near fine condition. They are all price clipped but show minimal signs of wear, with just a few tiny nicks. The spines are all browned but the front and rear covers are in super condition, showing the original silver grey colour. The photos of the front covers don't really do the books justice, they appear cleaner and more of a silver grey in the flesh. The folding maps are all clean, crisp and bright and appear to have been unopened. A lovely set in unusually nice condition. Further photos available upon request.
