A rather scarce book, recording the South African Division's involvement in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, from the inception and training of the Cape Naval Volunteers, Natal Naval Corps, including the work done by the South African Division during the German South-West Campaign. Appendices include List of Officers involved, and a Roll of Honour, with a foreword by The Rt.Hon. Jan Smuts, 193pp., including index and appendices. Numerous photographic plates, one folding plan. 

Condition: The paper is browned throughout, otherwise very good in the original carton-covered boards, cloth to the spine. Binding is tight and content unmarked.
