India was amongst the staunchest of all opponents to the admitting of South Africa to international cricket during the apartheid years. When change came to the Republic, India was among the first to embrace the new South African cricket team. A team under Clive Rice toured India and then during the summer of 1992/93 India played 4 test matches and 7 day/night internationals across South Africa. The team was led Mohammed Azharuddin and included players such as Ravi Shastri, Kapil Dev, AJ Jadeja, Anil Kumble and Sachin Tendulkar.
Opposing them were the following South African players: Kepler Wessels, Jimmy Cook, Hansie Cronje, Daryll Cullinan, Allan Donald, Omar Henry, Andrew Hudson, Peter Kirsten, Adrian Kuiper, Craig Matthews, Brain McMillan, Meyrick Pringle, Jonty Rhodes, Dave Richardson, David Rundle and Mike Proctor (manager).
All South African players signed this brochure under their pen-picture.
