He has also made a significant contribution to Afrikaans television with series such as ‘Hartland’, ‘Kruispad’, ‘Bloedbroers’, and ‘Getroud met Rugby’.
He is a successful businessman and the founder of the South African School of Film, Television and Drama (AFDA) in Milpark, Johannesburg, as well as the Independent Theatre Trust and Tanstaafl. The latter encompasses Packed House Productions (which stages professional productions), eQ2 Corporate Services (a corporate consultancy), and Bottom Line Entertainment (a television production company).
