THE SOUTHERN RHODESIA NATIVE AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT ANNUAL
Starting in 1923, when Rhodesia became a self-governing colony, instead of being owned by the BSA Company, the Native Affairs Department (later to be renamed Internal Affairs) published an annual document that documented in detail various aspects of native life & culture.
The first edition had fascinating titles like "How to become a witch doctor" and "The Origin and Universality of Taboo and Totemism". The annual ceased to be published once Zimnbabwe came into being in 1980.
Comes with a list of Contents & Index of Authors produced by the Publishers.
