First Edition: 221 pages, woodcut printer's device on the title page, original black cloth titled gilt and decorated gilt on the spine, light staining on the endpapers from moisture in the boards at the time of printing, a very good copy in the dust jacket which is lightly worn and with dust soiling along the edges - the jacket is printed on thick stock paper and spirit varnished, designed Ronald Clyne, price clipped and with a stamp at the top of the front flap - Price in Canada $3.75.
The colophon on the final unnumbered page reads, 'Two thousand copies of this book have been printed from Intertype Garamond by the Collegiate Press, George Banta Publishing Company, Menasha, Wisconsin. The paper is Winnebago Eggshell. The binding cloth is Holliston Black Novelex.'
The bibliography records 2067 copies as the total edition the extra copies being explained as printer's overruns.
