A later edition of this well known title dated 1932 (the 1st edition published in 1929) with 12 full page illustrations by William Timlin (see Lots 136 & 137 in this auction). A wonderful copy from the library of novelist Dennis Wheatley, inscribed by the author to Wheatley on the front free endpaper. And with Wheatley's ex-libris by Frank Pape on the front pastedown. A lovlely association. Apart from some hardly noticeable spotting of the top and front edges (not extending on to the pages) a fine copy in a like dustwrapper.
