Language: Afrikaans
Very scarce early justification of apartheid. Title in English would be "Just Racial Apartheid".
Written by a senior lecturer in Sociology at the University of Pretoria in collaboration with Dr William Nicol, the Moderator of the Nederduits Hervormde of Geroformeerde Kerk van Suid-Afrika: and Prof. E.P. Groenewald, a senior lecturer in New Testament Exegesis and Theology for the NGK at the University of Pretoria.
In the book Dr. Cronje writes:
- “The division of the human race into races, peoples and languages is a conscious act of God”;
- “The Lord wants separate peoples to continue to maintain their apartheid”;
- “Apartheid extends across the entire spectrum of public life”;
- “The social division between peoples is accepted by Jesus Christ”; and “God's blessing rests on the respect for apartheid.”
These views formed the basis of the National Party policies implemented by Verwoerd in1948.
