Publisher's green cloth binding with gilt titles on spine.
xii + 155pp. with fold-out colour frontispiece (geological map of Natal), 7 plates at rear, and numerous text illustrations (all present).
Binding solid. There are tide marks on the front and rear panels of the binding. Internally the book is clean with white pages and with no evidence of damp. All pages and plates are in very good condition with only the fold-out frontispiece having suffered a tear along one fold but with no loss of paper.
